I am João Prates. I am Brazilian and live in the Netherlands. In 2013, I completed my Masters of Photography (MA) at the Sir John Cass Faculty of Arts, Architecture and Design at Metropolitan University in London. Over the years, I exhibited there, but also in São Paulo, Breda, The Hague and Amsterdam. My work is a celebration of the Tulip, Delft Blue China, the Amazon Forest & Autumn Flowers. All arrangements are made by hand before being photographed. My work is in private and corporate collections in different cities in the Netherlands. It has traveled to Houston, Rio de Janeiro, Brisbane, Kuwait and Geneva. I live and work in The Hague. On a fifteen-minute drive from the ‘Bollenstreek’ where I source my flowers.
